Bilgi ve İletişim Sektöründe; sektöre ilişkin sorunlara çözüm aramak, platform yaratmak, sektörün güçlenmesini ve büyümesini sağlamak, gerekli yatırımların yapılmasını ve bu kapsamda planlanan projelerin uygun bir politika ile hayata geçirilmesini sağlamak için 17 kurucu üye bir araya gelerek 09.12.2005 tarihinde Bilgi ve İletişim Teknolojileri İşverenleri Sendikası (BİTİS)'nı kurmuştur.

Sendikamız 6-7 Mayıs 2006 tarihinde ilk Olağan Genel Kurulu'nda Yönetim, Denetim, Disiplin Kurulu Üyelerini belirleyerek faaliyetlerine başlamıştır. Halen Yönetim Kurulu Başkanlığını Sn. S.Altay Elbek, II. Başkanlığı Sn. Mustafa Yücelgen yürütmekte olup, Sendikanın Genel Sekreteri Dr. Av.Mert Van'dır.

Bilgi ve İletişim Teknolojileri İşverenleri Sendikası (BİTİS) olarak ülkemizdeki İşveren Sendikalarının bir araya gelerek oluşturduğu Türkiye İşveren Sendikaları Konfederasyonu (TİSK) üyeliği için başvurulmuş olup, 05.09.2006 tarihinde yapılan TİSK Yönetim Kurulu Toplantısında üyeliğimiz kabul edilmiştir.

Firmaların bireysel mücadele yerine bir örgütlenme çatısı altında toplanarak birlikteliğin verdiği güç ile sorunlara çözüm aramaları ülkemizde de gelişmektedir. Yukarıda belirttiğimiz amaçlarla kurulmuş birçok sivil toplum örgütü bulunmaktadır. Bu sivil toplum örgütleri uzun yıllardan bu yana sektörün gelişmesi için hizmet vermişler ve vermeye de devam etmektedirler. Önemli olan sektörel örgütlenmenin ulusal ve uluslararası resmi makam ve merciler önünde üyelerini temsil etme kabiliyetlerinin bulunması ve bu kabiliyetin güncel tutulmasıdır. Dünyada bu ihtiyaca cevap veren en etkin mesleki örgütlenme sendika içinde oluşturulabilmektedir. Sendikal örgütlenme ile ulusal ve uluslar arası arenada sorunlara daha kalıcı ve köklü çözümler üretilmektedir.

In the IT sector; to seek for solutions concerning the sector, to create a platform, to enable the sector’s growth and development, to enable making relevant investments and effectuating the projects planned within this scope by a suitable policy, Information and Communication Technologies Employers Union (BITIS) have been founded by aggregation of 17 charter members, in 12.09.2005.

Assigning its Executive Board, Board of Control and Disciplinary Board members with the first Ordinary General Assembly performed in 6^th -7^th of May 2006, our union has commenced its activities. Currently, S. Altay Elbek is holding the presidency of the Executive Board, Mustafa Yucelgen is performing the secondary presidency and Dr. Att. Mert Van is the Secretary General of the union. 

Having applied for the membership of Turkey Employers Union Confederation (TISK) that has been founded by the aggregation of the Employers Unions in Turkey, BITIS has become a member of TISK upon TISK Board Meeting held in 09.05.2006.

The model where firms try to seek for solutions gathering under the roof of an organization with the strength it provides instead of individual combat has been developing in our country. There are plenty of non-governmental organizations founded with the above mentioned purposes and that have been offering services for the sector’s growth for many years. What is important is that the sectoral organizations shall have the ability to represent its members before national or international official authorities and it shall maintain this ability. For the entire world, the most efficient professional organization can be formed within a union. By syndical organizing more permanent and radical solutions are being generated for the problems both nationally and internationally.
